1. Could you provide an overview of your role as the “Director of Operational Excellence” at Auto Cristal Ralarsa and how it intersects with Automotive Glass Experts (AGE)?

As Director of Operational Excellence, my role is to improve the company’s processes, with a particular focus on the customer experience at every stage of their interaction with us. In addition, I provide day-to-day support to our workplaces to ensure they operate efficiently and deliver exceptional service.

Being within the AGE group gives us the invaluable opportunity to grow and learn best practices from our colleagues, allowing us to deliver exceptional service to our customers, both in terms of coverage and quality, ensuring that every customer receives the level of service they deserve, regardless of their specific location or need.

 

2. What are some of the operational challenges specific to the automotive glass industry, and how does Ralarsa address them?

Inventory management: Advanced inventory management systems have been implemented to optimise stock levels and minimise the risk of stock-outs.

Material cost increases: Diversification of suppliers and agreements at international level Cary Group.

Product quality: Maintaining quality standards

Difficulty in finding qualified personnel: Initiatives to improve job satisfaction and retain key talent in the company.

3. In your experience, what are the key factors for successful partnerships and collaborations between companies like Ralarsa and AGE?


In my opinion, the success of Ralarsa and AGE lies in their consolidated experience and reputation, offering high quality products and services, maintaining constant innovation, establishing strategic alliances, always prioritising customer satisfaction and, of course, cultivating a corporate culture that fosters collaboration and excellence.

 

4. How do you envision the future of operations management in the automotive glass sector, especially concerning innovation and sustainability?

In my view, the future of operations management in the automotive glass sector looks exciting and promising. Technological innovation will continue to be a key driver, with increased integration of automation and artificial intelligence to optimise production processes. In addition, sustainability will be key, as companies look to reduce their environmental impact by using recycled materials and implementing eco-friendly practices. Ultimately, this focus on innovation and sustainability will not only improve operational efficiency, but also contribute to a more responsible and environmentally friendly future.
