1. What are your primary responsibilities as Marketing Manager, and how do you envision the evolution of Filisglass’s marketing strategy?
In my role as the Marketing Manager at FILISGlass, my days are packed with a mix of strategy, creativity, and collaboration. Leading our dynamic and innovative marketing team involves brainstorming and rolling out campaigns that tell our story in the most engaging way possible. It’s all about connecting our services with the people who need them, ensuring our brand’s voice resonates consistently across all touchpoints—whether you’re scrolling through our website or our social media pages, visiting our branches, or engaging with us in other ways. Additionally, overseeing market research, managing the advertising budget, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a cohesive strategy are also some key responsibilities.
But it’s not just about the big campaigns. Part of the job is to dive into the details—keeping an eye on market insights and trends, listening to what our customers are telling us, and using that feedback to tweak our approach. Additionally, campaign performance metrics are closely monitored, the brand’s online reputation is managed, and partnerships with influencers and other brands are developed.
Looking to the future, I’m excited about steering FILISGlass’s marketing towards an even stronger customer-focused and data-informed approach. The world’s changing fast, especially in the automotive glass industry, and we’ve got our sights set on being at the forefront of that change. This means doubling down on what makes us unique—our commitment to not just advancing technology in automotive glass but doing so in a way that’s sustainable and forward-thinking. We are dedicated to staying updated on the latest marketing practices, tactics, and developments, ensuring we are always ahead of the curve.
We’re planning to get even smarter with how we use technology, tapping into AI and machine learning to create experiences that really speak to our customers. Furthermore, we believe in the power of actions over words, and we’re looking to amplify our efforts in sustainability and community engagement, ensuring these values are woven into the stories we tell.
Branding is at the heart of everything we do, from the visual elements to the tone and message we convey. We strive to build a strong, recognizable brand that not only stands out in the market but also resonates deeply with our audience. This involves consistent messaging, a clear brand identity, and a commitment to delivering on our promises.
In essence, our goal is to ensure that FILISGlass isn’t just another company in the automotive glass space but a brand that stands for innovation, quality, and responsibility. It’s about making an impact, not just in sales but in the industry and community we’re a part of. And I have to say, I’m pretty excited about the journey ahead!
2. Could you elaborate on how the marketing team collaborates with other departments to ensure alignment and maximize the impact on both the business and customer experience?
At Filisglass, collaboration with all departments, including Sales, Customer Care, and Operations, is crucial for our marketing strategy. Working closely with these teams ensures we have a comprehensive understanding of our business and customer needs, allowing us to create effective and targeted marketing campaigns.
Together, we make sure our marketing not only fits well with the objectives of each department but also truly supports their efforts. The Sales Team, for instance, is on the front lines, engaging with customers, agents & brokers and insurance companies daily. They bring back the inside scoop on what people need and want. We use this goldmine of information to shape our marketing plans, ensuring our messages hit just the right note and address relevant topics for our audience.
Our collaboration extends to the Customer Care Center and Operations team in our stores. By integrating their feedback, we align our promotional efforts with their goals, maintaining a consistent and compelling brand message across all customer touchpoints, whether it’s in-store or through our communications. This collaboration helps us understand and anticipate our customers’ needs, allowing us to provide superior service and exceed their expectations.
We also stay flexible and ready to switch gears if we see a better way to do things based on how well our current plans are working. This adaptability allows us to continuously improve and enhance the overall customer experience.
It’s essential for us that our brand feels cohesive and reliable, building trust with our customers. By pooling insights from all departments, we ensure our marketing strategies support the broader mission of Filisglass, making every interaction, whether in-store or through marketing communications, contribute to exceptional customer satisfaction and the company’s success.
3. Can you share any specific marketing challenges you’ve encountered at Filisglass and the innovative solutions you’ve implemented to overcome them?
In the constantly changing marketing world at FILISGlass, we’ve tackled some big challenges lately. Two of the most recent examples include integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and mastering the fast-paced environment of TikTok. Both of these initiatives provided us with opportunities to innovate and improve our connection with customers.
With AI, it wasn’t just about using data in a smart way. It was about making AI work for us in a special way to make our campaign messages really hit home with our audience. The trick was getting AI to really get what our brand is all about and help us come up with messages that really mean something to the people we want to reach. This made AI super useful for us every day, helping out with everything from coming up with new ideas for content to making our email marketing better. Thanks to AI, our communication stays consistent and personal across different places, making sure people don’t just see our messages but really feel them.
TikTok was a whole different game but just as exciting. Its popularity, especially with the younger crowd, meant we had to figure out how to fit in without losing what makes us, us. We jumped into making short videos, putting our creativity and realness out there to grab TikTok users’ attention. We showed off the cool things about our products and how we care about the environment in a way that was both fun and informative.
Getting into TikTok also meant we had to get a bit more relaxed and informal, which was new for us but really important for connecting with people on the platform. We spent time getting to know what TikTok users like and trying out different kinds of videos, from sneak peeks behind the scenes to fun challenges that get everyone involved.
These changes in how we handle AI and TikTok haven’t just made our marketing better. They’ve helped us reach more people in ways that really matter. By getting smart with AI and getting into the TikTok vibe, we’ve made our campaigns stronger and our brand stand out more, keeping FILISGlass at the top of the game in the automotive glass world, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation.
4. From your perspective, what are the key skills and qualities that successful marketing professionals, especially women, need to thrive in the automotive glass industry?
In the automotive glass industry, marketing professionals need a special mix of talents and personal strengths to do really well. Understanding the products and being able to change with new trends and technologies are key. You need to know your stuff but also be ready to learn and adapt because things keep changing, like new ways to advertise or different things customers want.
Being creative and coming up with new ideas is really important. The market is competitive, so standing out with something different and interesting can make a big difference. But it’s not just about having good ideas. You also need to be good at working with others, both inside and outside the company, and talking about your ideas clearly and persuasively.
Strong leadership and perseverance are crucial for overcoming obstacles and making a mark in the industry. These qualities help professionals navigate challenges and achieve success in what can often be a competitive environment. It’s about showing the way and encouraging others to join and succeed in the industry.
Lastly, never stop learning and being curious. The best marketers keep up with what’s happening in the industry and always look for ways to improve. Dedication is also very important. It’s about sticking with your goals, even when things are hard, and being committed to your work and the success of your team and company.
No matter whether you’re a man or a woman doesn’t determine your success. What matters most is passion for what you do, continuous learning, and dedication to excellence. These qualities are essential for all successful marketing professionals. In summary, to be successful in marketing within the automotive glass industry, it’s about blending knowledge with the ability to adapt, being creative, working well with others, leading by example, and never stopping the pursuit of learning and excellence. Dedication ties all these qualities together, driving professionals to achieve their best.
