AGE Publishes Its First Responsible Business Framework

Automotive Glass Experts (AGE) is pleased to publicly release its first Responsible Business Framework for 2024, a key milestone in the organization’s ongoing commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.

Over the past two years, AGE has been developing a unified, data-driven approach to sustainability, encompassing climate action, social responsibility, and robust governance across its global network of independent members. While AGE has previously produced internal reports, this is the first time findings are being shared publicly, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and meaningful insights for all stakeholders. The 2024 framework represents the most comprehensive collection and analysis of data undertaken by AGE to date, providing a clear benchmark for future progress.

While AGE, as a consortium, does not hold ownership or operational control over its member companies, this report applies an expanded organizational boundary for the purpose of illustrating the collective climate impact of the network. Member companies vary in their level of maturity and engagement in this area, which has previously resulted in differing requirements for how data collection and results processing could be carried out. This impacts the reliability and quality of the carbon footprint calculation.

Although released late in the year, AGE intends to leverage this framework as the foundation for its 2025 strategy. The report highlights AGE’s strategic priorities, measurable achievements, and the contributions of its members worldwide, providing guidance and recommendations across Climate, People, and Governance, including practical approaches to emissions reduction and ethical business practices.

“This marks the beginning of a more structured approach to responsible business,” said Marco Moreno, CEO of AGE. “We recognize that a consistent commitment to environmental progress is required across all markets, regardless of local legislation. Our objective is to support and challenge our members to continuously improve. This report is a milestone in that journey, and we intend it to be the first of many as ESG becomes an integral part of our operations and network-wide collaboration.”

The 2024 Responsible Business Framework underscores AGE’s commitment to sustainable growth, ethical operations, and collective improvement through collaboration with its members, driving tangible positive impact across the automotive glass industry.
