AGE global stock management teams reunited to discuss business developments in stock management, new partner suppliers, and future market trends.
Joana Marques, AGE board member, opened the session by announcing the first guest speaker Glavista. Glavista shared market know-how and future market trends about the increasing complexity of Automotive Glass.
“Windshields designs are advancing resulting in increasing components of increasing complexity and increasing costs,” shared Javier Ocariz, Glavista Automotive Process Manager.
“Windshields are increasing in size. This also impacts costs due to the additional raw materials used”, he continued.
Ocariz shared details of Glavista’s current projects including advancements in vehicle autonomy and the use of renewable energy.
Mark Holmes, Director of Panther Pro, continued the meeting by presenting Panther Pro company figures, strategy, range of products, and research and development facilities.
“Panther Pro is a manufacturer and distributor of tools and equipment focused on guaranteeing the glass professionals’ safety, especially when dealing with heavier glass. We highly recommend that our members use their products in their workstations,” mentioned Joana Marques.
Mike Ford, Sales and Marketing Director of Shatterprufe, shared information around Shatterprufe’s background and history, followed by their facilities capacity, and product range.
Currently, Shatterprufe is an OEM supplier of Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Isuzu, as well as bus, truck, and rail OEM customers in South Africa.
Shatterprufe joins AGE’s partner supplier portfolio further strengthening automotive glass supply to members.
