AGE Signs Global Agreement with Shatterprufe, a Key Supplier of OEM Automotive Glass

Shatterprufe was established in 1935, in South Africa, where they are currently the leading supplier of automotive glass for OEMs.

With three manufacturing plants and 1500 highly skilled professionals, they manufacture 1.2 million windshields and 2.5 million toughened glass parts annually.

In South Africa 6 million vehicles are fitted with Shatterprufe products. The domestic market represents 70% of their annual sales, with a further 30% currently being exported to Europe.

While AGE’s “Repair before Replace” policy will continue to drive the group’s repair rate, automotive glass replacement remains the main service executed by AGE members around the world.

Every day the AGE network continues to grow, not only in metrics like the number of members, workstations, or mobile units, but also in the total number of services delivered.

To continue being a relevant player in the automotive glass service industry, AGE needs to consistently provide a high level of service while considering its customer satisfaction indicators, such as time response.

Time response is one of the top five drivers of customer satisfaction when executing a service, and for a replacement service, one of the biggest time-increasing indicators is glass availability.
