AGE Global Members Meeting in Madrid

A Global Gathering Focused on the Future

The AGE Global Members Meeting, held on October 9th and 10th in Madrid, brought together key representatives from across its global network, spanning Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. The two-day event served as a crucial platform for members to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of the automotive glass industry, focusing on emerging trends, growth strategies, and market innovations.

The meeting’s agenda opened with a deep dive into essential topics such as market shifts, strategies for international expansion, and collaborative workshops aimed at developing a clear path forward for AGE and its members. Participants worked together to identify the key challenges and opportunities ahead, ensuring that AGE’s collective growth remains at the forefront of the industry’s evolution.

One of the event’s standout moments came during the afternoon session, which featured three highly regarded guest speakers: Stefania Scansani from DuPont, Santiago Malbrán from Repairify, and Laura Ros, Head of Group Aftersales for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Spain.

Laura Ros’s presentation was particularly notable, offering a detailed analysis of the electric vehicle (EV) market and providing AGE members with critical insights into how to prepare for the increasing role of EVs in the automotive glass sector. This was a significant milestone for AGE, marking the first time a car manufacturer had participated in one of its global meetings.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to showcase and discuss new products and innovations, reinforcing AGE’s commitment to staying ahead of industry developments. The day concluded with a team-building event at the Carlos Sainz Karting facility, fostering stronger connections between members through a dynamic and informal activity.

On the second day, attendees visited the Ralarsa HUB, one of Madrid’s newest and most advanced auto glass facilities. This visit offered a comprehensive overview of the operational and logistical innovations being implemented by Ralarsa, one of AGE’s key members, and underscored the importance of cutting-edge infrastructure in the future of the industry.

The AGE Global Members Meeting provided a valuable opportunity for members to collaborate, gain insights, and explore new opportunities in an evolving market. The discussions, presentations, and site visit reinforced AGE’s global commitment to growth, innovation, and strengthening its worldwide network for years to come.
